Those who have arrived in the bay of Alcudia with the ship, usually takes the opportunity to go to Cap Formentor, the extreme northern tip of Majorca, and see the impressive rocky backdrop of the Tramuntana mountains from the water. The city Can Picafort with its small port "Puerto Deportivo Can Picafort" is not far from Puerto de Alcudia. The north-east of the island is known for its very own atmosphere in mountain area. Mallorca hardly a visitor who does not drive in this part of the island to visit the beautiful harbors and long beaches.
The port of Can Picafort has over 471 berths and 102 Mietplätze and is an ideal base from which to explore the coast further north to Puerto Pollensa and its cap or towards the south.
Who wants to go overboard and make a really beautiful walk, should go into the Albufera nature reserve. It is situated between Puerto Alcudia and Can Picafort and is a paradise for bird watchers.
